That, at least, seems to be the formal definition of Dance Movement Therapy. Simply put, the body and the mind move in tandem. And Dance Movement Therapy uses this basic principle to allow us to move to a better space.

While exploring different activities with music, we experience the movements our body intuitively makes, rediscover long forgotten movements, and create our own dance by allowing our body to follow its rhythm. The mind instinctively reflects these new discoveries. And together, body and mind dance towards a happier self.
